Features
Mode of operation The actuator is moved to the position designated by the control signal using a typical modulating signal of DC 0... 10 V. The measuring voltage U is used as a slave control signal for other actuators as well as an electrical display of the damper position 0...100%.
Simple direct mounting Simple direct attachment on the damper spindle using a universal spindle clamp, which includes an anti-rotation strap to keep the actuator from turning.
Manual override Push-button manual override is possible (the gear is disengaged for as long as the button is pressed or remains locked).
Adjustable angle of rotation With mechanical end stops, the angle of rotation can be adjusted.
High functional reliability The actuator is overload-proof, doesn't require limit switches, and stops when the end stop is reached automatically.
The SM24A-SR Belimo Damper Actuator is a versatile and reliable solution for controlling the movement of dampers in HVAC systems. With a nominal voltage of AC 24 V and DC 24 V, this actuator can operate within a voltage range of AC 19.2 ... 28.8 V and DC 21.6 ... 28.8 V. It has a low power consumption of 2 W during operation and 0.4 W at rest, making it energy efficient. It also has a cable length of 2m and 4 x 0.75 mm2 wire size.
The SM24A-SR offers a nominal torque of 20 Nm at nominal voltage and a control signal of Y DC 0 ... 10 V with a typical input impedance of 100 k. Its position accuracy is ±5% and it features a reversible rotation with switch 0/1. The actuator also has a position feedback of DC 2 ... 20 V, max. 1mA and a manual override with a gearing latch that can be disengaged with a pushbutton and locked.
The SM24A-SR has a maximum angle of rotation of 95° and can be limited at both ends with adjustable mechanical end stops. It has a running time of 150 s/90° and a sound power level of max. 45 dB (A). It also has a mechanical, pluggable position indication and safety features such as protection class III, safety extra-low voltage and UL Class 2 Supply. The degree of protection is IP54 in any mounting position and NEMA 2, UL Enclosure Type 2.
The SM24A-SR is CE compliant according to 2004/108/EC and is cULus certified according to UL 60730-A and UL 60730-2-24 and CAN/CSA E60730-:02. It is also certified to IEC/EN 60730- and IEC/EN 60730-2-24. This actuator is maintenance-free and has a rated impulse voltage of 0.8 kV and a control pollution degree of 3. It can operate in ambient temperatures of -30 ... +50°C and non-operating temperatures of -40 ... +80°C, and can handle ambient humidity of 95% r.H.
