The latest programmable controller proposal from CAREL is the product of ongoing advancements made over the course of more than 25 years of developing controllers for the HVAC/R sector.
The pCO5 has been improved over the previous generation of pCO controllers (pCO3) with particular new features to increase the efficiency of HVAC/R systems, such as the integration of the electronic expansion valve driver with ultra cap technology, which ensures the valve is closed in the event of power outages.
Additionally, the pCO5 offers more demanding designers up to five serial lines, with two optional lines that can be configured for both the protocol (Modbus®, BACnetTM, CAREL, CANbus, Konnex LON) and the physical support (RS485, Ethernet, CAN, Konnex, Echelon®) in addition to three serial lines that are always available and allow the configuration of the protocol.
Versions without serial converters are available with both "Host" and "Device" USB connectors for connecting a regular USB pendrive and connecting straight to a PC.
